Avalon Tranquility
Overview
The Avalon Tranquility® was one of the first ships to introduce an imaginative new design to river cruise holidays. The navigational bridge is located in the stern, behind the passenger section, which has allowed the designers more space and freedom in the layout of the public areas. The centre atrium and reception area is light and spacious, and the unusual design means the lounge and restaurant are positioned at the front of the ship, giving unimpeded views of the landscape as you cruise. In addition, the huge Sky Deck, stretching out in front of the bridge, gives passengers plenty of space to either soak up the sun, stroll around and take pictures or simply just relax and sit together with friends. All of the impressively large staterooms are equipped to hotel room standards with floor to ceiling windows from which to watch the river landscape as you cruise. The Avalon Tranquility® also has a silent drive system (SDS), with its engines at the rear of the ship, separated from the passenger decks, meaning your river cruise holiday is quiet and peaceful.
